GEOGRAPHY


Due to its geographical position between the Black Sea and Mediterranean Turkey is a corridor between Asia and Europe. Of the Europeans it was always known as the gate, which opens to the east.
The country is on three sides surrounded by water. This helped that Turkey has always relations with countries all over the world maintained.
The Turkish territory is 774 815 sq km in size.
70,200 sq km of the country whose contours on the map almost a rectangle, belonged to "Asia Minor", also called "Anatolia".
